Prior to joining Hilco, Robert owned a number of companies active in Industrial Asset Sales in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Switzerland and USA. He started out selling Machinery & Equipment all over the world when many of the large European Industrial companies restructured their operations and a number of large Shipbuilding companies went out of business in the 70´s. he moved to Houston, TX to continue his activities there for 5 years and after selling his business there, he returned to Europe, buying entire packages of assets from defunct companies and sometimes reorganizing the companies into healthy organizations. His many years of experience has given him great knowledge of asset- values.

Robert got his start selling used machinery 48 years ago, starting with the sale of machinery and equipment for Werkspoor (Amsterdam) who reorganized their activities after merging with Stork.

During his school vacations, Michael joined his father on inspections of large factories in the heavy industry. Still, before joining the family business, he decided to study Hospitality Management in Switzerland. After graduating with an MBA, Michael began to help his father out running projects around Europe. From there, Michael started an Auction technology Business. He was supporting Auctioneers throughout Europe and Asia adding the Webcast element to their Live Auctions. After selling his stake in this company, Michael joined Rocket Internet to start up a Food Delivery Company in the Netherlands. But when he was asked to join BVA Auctions to build up the BVA Art & Antiques Brand, he chose to get back in the auction business. After four years the company grew by 1100%, and Michael thought it was finally time to join his father at Hilco Industrial Acquisitions, working on the Asian transactions with his father. For the time being from the Amsterdam office, but as soon as the world overcomes the Covid-19 situation, he will move to Asia.

As Vice President of the Metals Industry, Miguel Furlaneto leverages over a decade of experience and expertise in equipment knowledge to advance industry standards. Margot ter Bogt is the Vice President of Sales, specializing in equipment sales with extensive experience and expertise in the field. With a track record of driving significant growth and building strong client relationships, Margot has consistently delivered exceptional results and innovative solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Nidhi joined Hilco Industrial as part of the marketing team and currently serves as a Marketing Director, overseeing key marketing operations across Europe and Asia. With a strong focus on driving engagement and lead generation, she has successfully implemented strategic campaigns tailored to the industrial sector.

Joost has been active in (online) auctioning and sales since 2004, always at the front-end of new developments. Because he held various roles in Marketing, Operations to Sales and Business Development, he has gained an extensive knowledge of what it takes to remarket all kinds of assets effectively.

Since the first of September 2020, Joost is leading our Operations department.

Rodrigo is Vice President Executive for Zurich with 10+ of experience within the finance, information technology, and consumer products in various senior sales, consulting and management roles. It has been working for the past years advising and negotiating with large companies the disposition of industrial assets and restructuring of operations. Rodrigo has joined Hilco to reinforce the company presence into the Pharma and Foods industries.

Jin Shengai is an experienced Sales Representative with specialized expertise in the Asian market for industrial equipment. Her deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs has made her a trusted advisor, helping businesses navigate complex sales processes and achieve significant growth.

Pelou Bouland is a skilled Finance Assistant with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in financial analysis and reporting. Known for her exceptional organizational skills, Pelou efficiently manages financial transactions and supports the finance team in ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting.

Mara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Registered Nurse in her country of origin. In 2007, she moved to the Netherlands and shifted her career to administrative work. She spent many years working as a Processor/Data Encoder in a financial services company in Amsterdam. She has diplomas in Receptionist and Administration and currently studying for her diploma in Financial Assistant.

Antonio serves as the Business Development Director at Hilco Industrial Acquisitions in Seoul, bringing extensive expertise in identifying growth opportunities and expanding the company’s market presence in Asia. With a strategic mindset and deep industry knowledge, Antonio is instrumental in building partnerships and driving the success of new acquisitions and ventures.

As a Graphic Designer with 5+ years of experience, Samruddhi has been instrumental in shaping the company’s branding and marketing strategies. Her innovative designs have significantly contributed to building a strong visual identity and creating effective marketing materials that resonate with target audiences. Samruddhi’s creative skills and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset in the company’s growth and brand development.

Janneke Jiskoot started working at Hilco Industrial BV in September 2014. She is our Office Manager and takes care of Customer Services.  After studying Journalism & Communications she worked for 7 years at a small PR office. Later on she was contracted by CapGemini as a business consultant in change management, after an internal training she worked for 7 years in the Utrecht office. In 2009 she became pregnant , quitted her job and stayed home for 2 years. After that she worked for 3 years in sports communication before joining Hilco in Amsterdam.

Within the Hilco Amsterdam Office, Susan is responsible for all financials. As she has been working in the Industry for more than a decade, she has a wide knowledge of all the activities related to the projects. In the past she has been involved with marketing, project management, financials, legal sales contracts and office management.  Due to her former occupation as Traffic manager Scandinavia, she knows what needs to be done regarding dismantling, exporting equipment and the export documentation needed. For the last 5 year she focused on financials. Especially cross border transactions, related VAT issues and Letter of Credit payment terms. Also invoicing, financial (deal) reporting and compliance with the relevant regulations are her responsibility.

Yoonsoo studied Hospitality Management in Switzerland, with a specialization in Marketing. With 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has developed expertise across various fields and had the opportunity to work in multiple countries. Since joining Hilco, she been overseeing overall sales and marketing for the Seoul office.
